Load the car up and head to Alliance for your next family getaway! There’s plenty to do from outdoor fun, to a Troll Museum, great food, and more!

Friday...

Kick your Weekend Off at the Beech Creek Botanical Gardens! At Beech Creek Gardens you will find a multitude of ways to enjoy the outdoors! Beech Creek features two separate playground areas, Nature Playce and Logs O'Fun Playground. Nature Playce is a 2-acre nature playground that includes treehouses with a swinging bridge, a miniature zip line, giant birds nest, mud kitchen, stage and amphitheater with music area, wading pond, living willow huts, giant Lincoln Logs, and a rock mountain with a slide, among other play areas. Logs O' Fun Playground is a small playground made out of logs and nestled in the shade inviting children to explore.

Grab dinner at Grinder's, a local favorite since 1976, you’ll find eastern style grinders, flatbreads, burgers, homemade soups, and more! Be sure to check out the soup of the day and leave room for a piece of their homemade pie!

Stay the night at the Hampton Inn & Suites, located in the heart of Alliance right on State Street, you won’t find a more convenient and comforting stay. The Troll Hole has over 25,000 pieces of Troll memorabilia, a Troll Hole of Fame Football stadium, Rock n Roll Trolls, and more Troll inspired sets and pieces for you to explore! You’ll finish up the tour by shopping the stocked gift shop of trolls. Remember to grab a coffee at the Grumpy Troll Café in the back!

Saturday Afternoon...

Step back in time for lunch at Doug’s Classic 57 Diner! This local favorite makes you feel like you’re eating in the past with its classic diner setting and style. You know exactly what to expect from the food when you step in a place like Doug’s: great tasting burgers, fries, shakes, sandwiches, appetizers, and more! Bring quarters to try out the jukebox and get the full 50’s experience!

Let your inner artist out and enjoy some indoor fun at Hot Pots Pottery! Choose from a variety of activities such as pottery painting, mosaics, candle making, and glass fusion! You can also try out the splash room for a more interactive and loose experience!

Saturday Evening...

Head over to Funtimes Fun Park and wind down with some family fun activities! Enjoy a round of putt putt or buckle up and race some go-karts. You are sure to have a fun time at Funtimes Fan Park!

Stop at another local favorite before your trip is over in Heggy’s Confectionary! Serving Alliance since 1940, Heggy’s is known for great burgers, homemade ice cream, roasted nuts, and fresh treats! Make sure you order your fries with butter and grab a box of chocolates (the perfect Christmas gift) before you leave!
