Memorial Day is the unofficial kickoff to summer! Explore things to do in Canton and Stark County over the long holiday weekend.

Memorial Day Flea Market

May 25-27 (Closed Sunday)
Hartville MarketPlace & Flea Market
The flea market kicks off on Saturday and is open on Monday as well. There are typically around 1,000 vendors that are selling everything from produce, flowers, garden plants to antiques, collectibles, and just anything someone pulls out of their basement. Make sure to wear your walking shoes and mark your calendars, because you do not want to miss out on all of the bargains and fun.

Hall of Fame Ribs Burnoff

Pro Football Hall of Fame
Enjoy a variety of expertly crafted ribs from local and national pit-masters, accompanied by daily live music. In addition to the ribs, other vendors will be at the Hall, with other festival foods and drinks. Save the date, spread the word, and join us at the Hall of Fame Ribs Burnoff for a legendary return filled with flavor, fun and football.

Memorial Day Opening Weekend

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Akron-Canton
Splash into summer at the opening weekend of the Clearwater Park Pool! Celebrate the holiday with a patriotic parade, red, white and blue crafts, superhero training, and edible sparklers. We’re also expecting a visit from our friend PhilUp, the balloon artist!! Open daily from 11AM-7PM. Public passes are not sold on Saturdays.

Make your way to Sluggers & Putters Amusement Park! Open weather permitting -- there truly is outdoor family fun for all ages! Popular attractions include Mini-Golf, Outdoor Laser Tag, F-22 Raptor Go-Karts, Bumper Boats, Batting Cages, Rock Climbing Wall, Arcade, plus rides including Stark County's only roller coaster.

Hoover-Price Planetarium Shows

McKinley Presidential Library & Museum
Head to the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum for family fun for all ages and enjoy a FREE Planetarium show! Planetarium shows are included with paid admission to the Museum. Must have a separate ticket to attend Planetarium Shows.
