Trying to decide on the best place to get a good burger? Stark County restaurants have quite a variety to offer. By no means is this list supposed to rank the best burgers in Stark County - it just happens to be 11 of the author's favorites!

#1 George's Lounge

Downtown Canton is home to the perfect must-stop burger joint in Stark County. George’s Lounge features a unique specialty burger every month. All burgers are made with local, grass-fed beef and are served with homemade fries or chips. Don’t forget to pair your burger with one of George’s wide selection of $2 craft beers, liquors, or wines!

Insider's Tip: The kitchen staff at George’s creates a new, delicious burger and hand-scooped milkshake flavor every month! Enjoy a tasty burger and shake while listening to live bands every weekend!

#2 Social at the Stone House

The Social at the Stone House in Massillon is your next stop when you're craving a delicious burger. The Social is known for being a fusion-based restaurant that prides itself on preparing food with fresh ingredients. They not only offer Wagyu burgers but also a house-made Vegan Black Bean Burger. The Social has many great allergen-free options available, from gluten-free crust to vegan cheese!

Insider's Tip: You can enjoy your burger along with $2 off craft cocktails, $2 off wine pours, $2 off spirits, and $1 off beer during Happy Hour. These deals are available from 4 PM to 6 PM, Tuesday through Thursday.

#3 Cameo Grill

Looking for a burger in a town steeped in rich football history? Cameo Grill in Massillon is the perfect place for you. Not only will you be served a flavorful burger, but you'll also be surrounded by memorabilia honoring the legacy of the Massillon Tigers Football Program. Cameo has been a staple in the Massillon community for over 80 years! Get a taste of this history by ordering the “Original” Cameo Burger.

#4 Best Burger

Best Burger in North Canton truly lives up to its name. Located across the street from Walsh University, Best Burger offers a great assortment of delicious, affordable burgers. All burgers are made with ⅓-pound all-beef patties, served on a sesame seed bun. Not that hungry but craving a burger? Best Burger offers all burgers in Junior, Single, or Double sizes!

Insider's Tip: To elevate your meal, order your burger with “The Works.” Best Burger’s signature sauce, paired with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle, will take your burger to new heights.

#5 The Brew Kettle

Enjoy a flavorful meal with interactive entertainment at Brew Kettle at the Hall of Fame Village. The Topgolf Swing Suites offer a variety of virtual sports challenges, making it the perfect outing activity. The atmosphere is filled with sports, laughter, and music. The Brew Kettle Burger features a brisket patty served with lettuce, tomato, and pickles on a Kaiser roll. They also offer two “non-traditional” burger options: a Veggie Burger and their Expedition Burger. All sandwiches come with additional add-ons to perfect your ideal burger!

Insider's Tip: When playing in the Swing Suites, it's best to order one of Brew Kettle's shareables. My personal favorite is the crispy Brussels sprouts topped with an Asian glaze!

#6 Chloe's Diner

Chloe’s Diner will make you feel like you're in your favorite 70s sitcom, with its classic car-themed diner décor. This lively diner is located in the heart of Downtown Massillon and has been described as “Classic Car Heaven.” While Chloe’s is known for its delicious Famous Sliders, you can't forget about their Steakhouse Burger—topped with tomatoes, lettuce, onions, pickles, and a variety of cheese options on an 8 oz patty.

Insider's Tip: Head down to Chloe’s Diner for “Toofer Tuesdays” and get two sliders with fries for $5! This deal is only available for dine-in on Tuesdays

#7 Gridiron Gastropub

Located on the Hall of Fame Village campus, Gridiron Gastropub is a top choice for anyone looking to try a new restaurant in Stark County! This football-themed restaurant is the perfect addition to the growing tourist destination at the Hall of Fame Village. Stop in and try their Gridiron Burger, a ground beef patty topped with smoked bacon, tomato jam, baby arugula, American cheese, and house frites. Enjoy a great meal and check out the nightlife at the Hall of Fame Village.

#8 Heggy's Nut Shop

Heggy’s Nut Shop perfectly embodies what Hall of Fame City is all about. Upon entering, you're greeted with friendly staff, delicious food, and a fun atmosphere. Heggy’s classic Steakburgers have been a staple in Canton for 75 years! All burgers are available as either a single or double, with three cheese options to choose from. Don’t forget to pair your Heggy’s Steakburger with their recognized top-50 buttered French fries.

Insider’s Tip: You’ve got your Steakburger and famous buttered French fries, but want to elevate your meal even more? Add homemade Heggy’s mayonnaise to your burger and on the side to dip your fries in. Pints are also available for purchase so you can take the flavor of Heggy’s home with you.

#9 Doug's Classic 57 Diner

Alliance has been home to Doug’s Classic 57 Diner for over 50 years! Upon arrival, you'll be greeted with a family-friendly atmosphere and a broad range of menu items. Doug’s offers over ten different classic burgers and eight appetizers to pair with them. The most famous of all is the King Kong Deluxe. This monster of a burger includes 2 – 1/3 lb. patties, ham, bacon, Swiss, American, and mozzarella cheese, plus “everything on it.” People travel from all over to attempt the King Kong Burger challenge, which features three burgers, one drink, one small order of fries, and one side—all in 30 minutes.
