Special Happenings on Columbus Day
Join the CMA for our School’s Out FREE Mondays. Looking for something fun & educational to do with your family or friends on Columbus Day? Enjoy a day off from school with the family and participate in a fun animal-themed event in celebration of our exhibit, "Soar, Roar, Explore: Animal Life from the CMA Collection." Explore your creative side creating an animal mask, discover the clues to a scavenger hunt in our galleries, and see live animal demonstrations throughout the day.
Visit the Canton Museum of Art Monday, October 11th for FREE admission 10:00AM to 3:00PM in honor of Columbus Day! Register for FREE timed tickets here.
All ages will enjoy the 40+ acre apple and peach orchards, pumpkin patches, and Applehouse market. Seasonal “Fall Family Fun” activities in October include Pick Your Own apples, pick your own pumpkins, unlimited hayrides, 2-acre corn maze for children and adults, fort delicious, hay mountain, hamster run, tire climb, obstacle course, small grass maze, train cart ride, and so much more!
Arrowhead Orchard & Fall Activities are open Monday, October 11th from 9:00AM to 6:00PM!
Guess what time of year it is! Fall! Head on over to Nickajack for real fun on the farm, including animals and pumpkin patch! Take a hayride or test your skills in the corn maze. With tons of pumpkin activities, your kids will be bowling with pumpkins, shooting them out of a cannon, and so much more! Columbus Day Kids can go out to the pumpkin patch and pick their own pumpkin!
Festival hours are 11:00AM until 7:00PM and General Admission is $12 per person.
Center Ice Sports Complex
A state-of-the-art sports facility that features an NHL-size ice arena, game room, lockerroom, and snack bar!
Enjoy Public Skating from 12:00PM until 1:50PM. Admission is $8 and skate rental is an additional $4. Online registration is required for all Public Skate times.
Hartville MarketPlace & Flea Market
Monday means Flea Market Day! Give your kids $10 and see what they end up with! You never know what you might find at the flea market, but there’s sure to be plenty of vendors selling pumpkins, mums, and fall decorations for your home! The kids could even get an early start on holiday shopping. Enjoy a fresh lunch at Sarah’s Grill with kid-friendly favorites!Open Mondays from 9:00AM until 5:00PM.
The Wilderness Center
Do your kids like exploring the outdoors? Take them to the Wilderness Center! With over 10 miles of walking trails, including an old-growth forest, a lake, a pond, a look-out tower, and prairies! Pack a lunch and play on the nature playscape that is a playground built out of steams, plants, boulders, logs, and earth mounds!
Enjoy the trails open dawn until dusk and admission is FREE.
Fall Fun at Maize Valley
Featuring an 8-acre corn maze, wagon rides to the pumpkin patch, straw bale mountain, tire pile, animal train ride for the younger kids, pumpkin cannon demonstrations, goat-a-palooza animal area, chicken area, pushcarts, pedal trikes, and so much more.
Harvest activities are open 12:00PM until 7:00PM. Tickets are $15 per person (ages 2+) and include most activities, including the corn maze.
