Deer Creek Reservoir
Overview
Explore this 334-acres of nature at this reservoir nestled among nearly 1,000 acres of forest. Tucked into the northeast corner of Stark County, Deer Creek Reservoir is a rustic oasis for fishing, boating, bird watching, and picnicking. Impressive trees create a canopy over popular fishing nooks and a spacious picnic area right on the water. Bring your bike or hiking boots because this park also serves as a trailhead for the Mahoning Valley Trail.
You may catch sight of bald eagles, osprey, and migrating waterfowl along the shore, or white-tailed deer and coyote in the forested areas surrounding the reservoir.
Canoes, SUPs, and kayaks welcome! Other boats must use electric motors only at Deer Creek Reservoir. An adaptive kayak launch is available for launching personal kayaks or canoes.
