MAPS Air Museum
Overview
The MAPS Air Museum (Military Aviation Preservation Society) is an internationally known museum of aviation and serves as a center of that history in Northeast Ohio. The Museum features over 55 types of aircraft dating from the one of a kind 1908 Martin Glider to an F-16 Fighting Falcon and a C130 Hercules. MAPS has over 130 displays of acquired historical artifacts and interactive exhibits.
The museum is also a War Memorial as within our Gallery of Heroes there is a relic of the battleship USS Arizona from the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941.

Meeting Spaces
112th Fighter Squadron Banquet Center
- Area: 2,520 square feet
The 112th Fighter Squadron Banquet space on the second floor of the museum offers panoramic views of the Akron Canton Airport and MAPS Air Museum flight line. Three 75″ TVs with computer connectivity are available and speakers are placed throughout the space. Wired or wireless microphones, WiFi, and Bluetooth are available. Booth or window seating and bar facilities are available. The space has 5’ round tables, white padded chairs, and 6 green booths A full-sized commercial kitchen is available for your special event. Mr. Mikes Catering is the Preferred Caterer of MAPS Air Museum and they have a wide variety of options for your event. Outside caterers are allowed with pre-approval and an additional fee.
Hangar Floor
- Area: 9,048 square feet
Host your event amongst the aviation artifacts and airplanes with the hangar doors closed. A full-sized commercial kitchen is available for your special event. Mr. Mikes Catering is the Preferred Caterer of MAPS Air Museum and they have a wide variety of options for your event. Outside caterers are allowed with pre-approval and an additional fee.
Hangar Floor and Tarmac
- Area: 13,416 square feet
Combine the Hangar Floor, and the outdoor tarmac, complete with a view of Akron-Canton Regional Airport and runways in the background. Large vehicle demonstration and display areas are available with this space. With the hanger door open you can have unlimited tables and chairs 6’ banquet tables with white padded chairs up to 400. A full-sized commercial kitchen is available for your special event. Mr. Mikes Catering is the Preferred Caterer of MAPS Air Museum and they have a wide variety of options for your event. Outside caterers are allowed with pre-approval and an additional fee.
Louise Timken Library
- Area: 1,128 square feet
The Louise Timken Room offers an informal library setting with space for up to 60 guests. There are 4, 4 x 4 tables. A full-sized commercial kitchen is available for your special event. Mr. Mikes Catering is the Preferred Caterer of MAPS Air Museum and they have a wide variety of options for your event. Outside caterers are allowed with pre-approval and an additional fee.
OV-1 Meeting Room
- Area: 924 square feet
The OV-1 Meeting Room is on the second floor of the museum. It offers space for up to 45 people and is perfect for breakout meetings, and classroom setup. Updated meeting room amenities include WiFi and wired internet access, smart TV/projection screen, and dry-erase boards. A full-sized commercial kitchen is available for your special event. Mr. Mikes Catering is the Preferred Caterer of MAPS Air Museum and they have a wide variety of options for your event. Outside caterers are allowed with pre-approval and an additional fee.
Rent the Entire Facility
Use all of the space and rooms within the MAPS Air Museum, including the Hangar, Tarmac, 112th Fighter Squadron Banquet Hall, and smaller breakout rooms.
