Massillon Public Library
Overview
In 1899 the McClymonds Public Library first opened on the corner of Fourth Street in Massillon, Ohio. The library quickly grew and in 1930, Mrs. Frank Baldwin gifted her home and property for the purpose of expanding the library or creating a museum. Nearly 100 years later, the Massillon Public Library is still operating from this location and offers a wide range of resources and services to the public.
The Massillon Public Library also offers assistance and resources to those interested in local history and genealogy. Their well trained staff will help guide you in your searches. The library provides many digital databases and resources for patrons to access at the library or from your own home as well.
